Celebrating our 'Quiet Achievers'

Published on 20 December 2022

Angaston Primary School Sports Day.

Throughout the year it is an incredibly rewarding experience visiting the schools across Schubert.

Not only is this an opportunity to meet with students and learn about the great things they are doing, but it's also a chance to check out a variety of infrastructure upgrades.

The end of the year in particular is a special time for families with school-aged children.

This year, I was excited to have the opportunity to sponsor a special award called the 'Schubert Quiet Achiever Award' across schools in the electorate.

Instead of focusing on academic, music or sporting excellence, I wanted a student to be acknowledged for working hard, being reliable, having a sense of service, determination and a strong focus on being the best they can be - that just about sums up our community.

Congratulations to all the wonderful quiet achievers I have had the privilege to meet this year, and well done to all those who have graduated from Primary or High School in 2022.

Importantly, best wishes to all of our students as you head into the 2023 school year.
